Kump House - Home of Gov. Herman Guy Kump. Built in 1924-25, on site of Civil War era Goddin Tavern. Designed by Clarence Harding of Washington, DC. Eleanor Roosevelt and other notables were guests during the 1930s and '40s. Named to the National Register in 1983.

The Home was built by T. R. Whiteman who built many  of the finer
homes in Elkins.
