The National Science Foundation's Green Bank observatory

The National Astronomy Observatory is located in Pocahontas County, West Virginia. They offer several presentations on exactly how and why they are looking for radio signals in space. After the presentation, visitors are treated to a bus tour of the facility. Very interesting and worth the visit!
