Ruffed Grouse

The ruffed grouse is a beautiful small game bird that many people love to hunt. The Grouse usually allows people to get very close before flying away. If you're ever walking through the woods and suddenly hear the close, loud noise of a bird flying away, it was probably a Ruffed Grouse.
