Graceland Inn is located on the Davis & Elkins College campus in Elkins, WV. The mansion was built in the early 1890's as a lavish summer home for the Davis family.

Henry Gassaway Davis served two terms as a US Senator before returning to West Virginia. He also ran unsuccessfully for Vice President of the United States (with Presidential candidate - Alton Brooks Parker).

The extravagant home was built with local sandstone and a features some of the finest craftmanship of it's kind. Cherry, Maple, Walnut and red oak are hand carved.

The home features antique furniture, paintings, photographs and many items of the period.

Graceland also offers dining. Elkins itself, has many good restaurants (TJ's) and quaint antique shops. Elkins is close to the historical town Beverly which also has a nice museum to explore. Elkins is about a 1 hr drive from Canaan Valley State Park.

There are 7 different historical buildings on the Davis & Elkins campus including Halliehurst (named after Henry G. Davis's daughter), The Ice house and the Gatehouse.

Summertime is the busiest season and it's difficult to get a room, so be sure and make reservations early.
