People claim that by drinking the milk of a goat who has been eating poison ivy, you are less likely to have reactions from touching the plant.

Goats love all types of weeds and brush. Multiflora rose is usually a pretty tough thorn bush to get rid of. Goats devour it ! They eat every kind of brier, thorn bush and vines.

Goats require a good strong fence. It would be a good idea to use an electric fence if you can. Goats are good climbers and jumpers. Keep your fence in good working order.

Watch for coyote, as they will attack goat herds.

Goats cannot swim, so keep them away from ponds.

Goats also get along with almost every other farm animal, including dogs and cats.
